Jessica Bernstein was very familiar with physical therapy growing up, benefitting from it herself after a knee injury and when a close family member’s recovery from an injury. She was inspired by the field and its potential to help people just as her family was helped. After graduating from USC with a degree in Human Biology, Jessica attained her Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy in 2020. She loves to get to know patients and watch them achieve their goals. What drove you down this career path?
I experienced the benefits of physical therapy firsthand when I injured my knee in junior high and after a close family member’s recovery from an injury. I was inspired by the field and its potential to help people just as we were helped.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Born and raised in Claremont, I still live in the area with my husband and son. We enjoy home projects, currently finishing a backyard renovation.
Do you have any pets?
My family enjoys big dogs, having a German Shepherd and a St. Bernard Golden Retriever mix.
